Winter skies for my eyes.

So I have been really enjoying winter's skies. So cold, crisp, dark and magical. (Boo, how cheesy!) It's true though. MAGICAL! So here are loads of sunrises, sunsets, winter landscapes, and just general winter things. Taken at all times of day through all kinds of windows!

- Crisp sunrise sky out my bedroom window.

- A very icy Tempelhof.

- Windy field walking. For some reason this picture looks like it is really really cold. And that it was.

- Watching people sledding in the Grunewald. We saw many accidents in the space of 5 minutes.

 - The moon on my way home from work in the after(m)oon.

- Snowy sunrise sky from my abode.

- Snowy sunset sky from my abode.

- Same as above except in a different direction.

- Some very orange slices of tree trunk found at Krumme Lanke on a Sunday walk.

- A faint sunset through the Sbahn window on my way home from work. I love all the reflections of EVERYTHING. This photo is like a dream world.

- I found the source of light, even through the moving train window!

- Another dreamlike state. Sunrise and many reflections.

- Red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning. And that it was...after that glorious show it continued to rain for the entire day.

Hope you are all catching your own magical winter skies. Seriously, keep your eyes peeled. Winter skies are spectacular. Even the night sky and its winter constellations are fabulous.

Lots o' shots o' fog.

Happy New Year to you all.  It's coming 9 days late, but better late than never!  I hope 2016 treats you all well and that you surprise yourself this year.  Today I will be posting lots and lots of pictures of my beautiful surroundings in the Bavarian Forest at Christmas.  And as the Blog Title leads to believe, I will be posting lots o' shots o' fog!  Enjoy the last fog of 2015 and may the fog settle for 2016.  Enjoy.

- Some incredible blue skies were enjoyed this Christmas.

 - Logs looking neat with godly rays shining upon them.

- Great treetop silhouettes.  As you can see there was a lot of shining sun!

-  Since this is about Christmas, there has to be at least one kinda "gifty" picture.  Here's some Parmesan biscuits ready to get wrapped at my wrapping station.

- Winter walking with my bro.  We were trying to do an impression of the Michelangelo painting in the Sistine Chapel.  Can you see some resemblance?  Not really?  Me neither.  Got some good lighting though, bro.

 - You can see a little bit of the fog creeping in just over the grass line there.

 - My grandfather and brother walking into the fog...the question was...can we disappear in the fog?

- Ummm...no.

 - Full moon fog situation.  It was actually totally dark, but the moon was shining "bright like a diamond".

- Fog on another day.  We actually watched the fog "rolling" in with our very own eyes.  What a fog heavy holiday!

- Bit of a pink sky fog mountain situation.

-  So this isn't a photo of the Bavarian Forest...this is taken out of the bus window on my way back up north.  Some foggy vineyards in Franken.

 - Some more blurry vineyards.

So anyway, that was a little view of some of my last days of 2015.  Hope you all had a great "slide" into the new year.  Stay safe, healthy and content.  Thanks for reading and see you all spoon.

Never-ending autumn and our hiking adventure.

Hai to all of you!!  I hope this blog post works all right...my laptop is broken so I started writing this on my phone. This was very small on my screen, and I could not see the spaces in between words.  Now I managed to borrow someone's netbook, which is also very small and cute and is doing the job well.  Let's see, what shall come shall come!  Today I will do a little bit of the rest of the end of autumn all the way to the winter that we find ourselves in right now.  It is winter isn't it?

- 24. of October some more bright colours from autumn.

- 27th of October, nice silhouettes in the Britzer Garten.

- 27th of October, a bed of spiky leaves in the Britzer Garten.

- 21st of November, weekend trip to Goslar in the Harzgebirge to hike.  Getting out of the city is always good for the soul.  And with "hex" weekend train ticket deals it is totally affordable for more than one person.

- We found a nice path after climbing up the side of what I would call a cliff.

- Accidentally falling from here would be a wild and "twig-gy" experience.

- More trees!  I like these trees!

- It is very important to have a map of where you are...even if you end up not being in the place that you think you are.

- 22nd of November, the morning of our second hiking day we opened the curtains and looked out of our guesthouse window...and it was SNOWING!!  After a large breakfast the ground quickly transformed from greys and browns...

- To black and white...

- Just like the sky went from grey...

- To blue!

- This is a beautiful view of Goslar as the sky was clearing up from the clouds!

- We ended up walking in a winter wonderland!

- I realised quickly, after hiking in the snow, how important it is to wear appropriate footwear.  Hiking in the snow in wellies was definitely an experience that I don't want to repeat...my poor toes were very cold!

- Here, on our way back into Goslar town to grab some Gluehwein to warm us up...and to catch our train back to Berlin.

Thanks for looking at all the pictures of our little adventure to the "Hexenwald"!  I definitely recommend going if you have the chance!  Hope you are all having a nice winter...maybe it's actually cold and crisp where you are.  It is weirdly warm in Berlin, which makes it not feel very wintery at all.  Nevertheless I wish you all a super duper, very merry Christmas.  Enjoy it and see you soon!

My golden obsession.

Hello and good day!  This post will mostly contain more or less more shapes and shades of yellow that my autumn has brought me.  I know the last post was about yellow but I don't care.  I'm loving yellow right now and according to the "Colour Wheel Pro", yellow is "associated with joy, happiness, intellect and energy".  See...JOY!  HAPPINESS!  ENERGY!!!  I feel the need to post as many yellow posts, in order to save up some yellow feeling, that I can then whip out again on the grey days that await.  Autumn has already shown enough of its grey side this past week, here's to hoping yellow beats grey.

- My beloved cycle ride up to Tempelhof on a sunny Sunday morning showing off all of its sparkle.  (no instagram filter, by the way)

- Early morning, on the way to work shot through the train window.  Greens, yellows and oranges.

- Same day.  Different time.  Different side of the train on my way home from work.  Greens, yellows and oranges.

- Some slightly yellowy lime greens walking along the canal today.

-  Sparrows bathing in the puddles left by the days of grey weather and rain.

- A blackbird having a puddle bath!  Today was the day of puddle baths!

- Squinting up into the sun, hoping that it will keep shining to supply me with the Vitamin D that I need to survive the winter.

Thanks for reading, take care and keep your eyes opened to really soak up the colours that are happening now.  I'm sounding so buddhist right now oh yeah.  Really enjoy the NOW!

A whole lot of yellow.

Welcome, Autumn!  You are here once again and bring with you warm sunshine, blue skies and lots of yellows all around.  Bright yellow, brown yellow, red yellow, green yellow, dark yellow.  Lots and lots of yellows.  Yellow, yellow, YELLOW!  Here are some pictures of my autumn.

- Photo of the Refugee Welcome Picnic at Tempelhof.  The weather was superb and you could feel all the love on the field.

- We went on a 3 hour walk through Grunewald after I finished school one day.  It was magical.  I even jumped into Teufelssee for one last time in 2015.  I froze my nuggets off.

- Is this an oil beetle?  There were so many of these in Grunewald.

- A red dragonfly at the Ökowerk in the Grunewald.  Look, you can't even see its wings, that's how delicate they are.

- Here's a shot taken in the S-bahn with my colourful yellow findings from the Grunewald!  TOTALLY YELLOW!  Oh I LOVE this photo.  These leaves look like they've been dipped into the sun!

- This one is a photo I took at the bridge looking over Klub der Visionäre.  I love a good canoe!

- Last but not least is a photo that I probably shouldn't have taken, seeing as I was riding my bike down a hill at the time.  I couldn't help myself though, there's yellows involved and even though it's blurry, I like it.

There it is.  The first autumn post.
I hope it continues as yellow as it began!
Thanks for reading.
